Описание

Step-by-step recipe:
• Wash and rinse 1 cup urad dal (whole black lentil) and 1/4 cup Rajma (kidney beans)
• Soak in 4 cups water overnight.
• Drain and transfer the dal and rajma to a pressure cooker.
• Add whole spices (2 bay leaves, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 4 green cardamom, 2 black cardamom, 4 cloves) and salt.
• Add 4 cups of water and cover the lid.
I Pressure cook for 6-7 whistles.
• Let the pressure release naturally. Keep it aside.
• Heat oil in a pot, add butter.
• Add 2 chopped onions and saute them until it turns light golden brown.
• Add 2 tosp ginger garlic paste, saute until the raw smell goes away.
• Add 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
• Add 1 cup tomato purée and mix.
• Add salt and cook until the oil separates.
• Add 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin and 1 tsp garam masala powder. Mix everything well and sauté for two minutes.
• Add in the boiled dal and mix. Cook for 10 minutes.
• Add water. Mix well and simmer the dal uncovered for
15-20 minutes. Keep on stirring often.
• Add butter, 1/2 tsp kasuri methi, 2 chopped green chillies, some ginger julienne and 2 tosps cream. Mix everything.
• In a separate pan, add butter. Once it begins to melt, add chopped garlic, fry for few seconds until it turns golden brown. Add 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder and add it straight to the dal. Give it a good mix.
• Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and cream.
• Serve hot with naan, paratha, roti or rice.
